The day she grew up

The yellow light lingered in the background while she sat on her bed, frozen by what she had just seen. She was trembling with fear and knew that nothing but his soft embrace could calm her down. She missed him dearly. They had been together for five years now and were head over heels in love with each other. Sure, they had their fights and disagreements, but, they worked on them patiently whilst appreciating each other’s opinions. She had turned 23 last September and he was 25. They had met in College and had clicked instantly. He was her first love and despite her promise to herself to save her virginity for her husband, she made love to him.
